Hi all,
I am off to france for the day on one of these one pound trips,
to stock up on beer for the next couple of days ( hic!!)
Not wanting to get ripped off in the first hypermarket I come across,
is there anyone out there who knows of any places within 30 mins drive
of Calais, that sells beer at the french local price, and not the
"lets cash in on the English "tourist price?...

Yep there sure is!!
We went to a cash and carry warehouse about 5 mins from calais. The
best person top ask where we went and directions is Pauline in
Printers.

Steve, Come off the ferry and drive through Calais following signs to The Rest of France. When you hit the next town, stop and wind your window down - which is handy 'cos you'll be on the right side! - and ask the first passer by you see "Ou est le Hypermarch� avec les prices de Francais? Je voudrais plus bier." They'll point you in the right direction. don't mention it! Ian | |||||
