Hi, I've searched this conference for info. on launderettes but the most current entry is dated 7-July-1992 (575.1) so I'm hoping someone can give me some "newer" info. Does anyone know of a launderette in Basingstoke ? I've heard suggestions of Popley and Winklebury but neither have been confirmed. Any help is appreciated, Regards, Kevin.

There is a launderette in Popley and one in Winklebury also. Both are
advertised in the Thompson Local or Yellow pages or something similar,
thats how I found them.
I'll attempt some rough directions on how to find them both ( I ended
up using the popley one as the winklebury one is closed on Mondays.)
Popley:
On the pedestrian walkway, between the two ends of Shakespeare Road.
There are several shops there and the launderette. This place does
service washes also.
Winklebury.
From the roundabout at the top of the slip road from the ring road you
take the 2nd exit,( straight over) further up this road there is a left
turn into the estate. Down there is another parade of shops including a
launderette.
I'm sorry my directions are pretty vauge but as I say, they are in the
phone book.

Hi, Kevin,
The Winklebury launderette is in what's called Elmwood Parade and the
road is called Elmwood Way. There's a car park round the back. Apart
from the two Kevin mentioned I don't think there are any others.
