Hi, everyone,
Last week on the Meridian news it was announced that Basingstoke has
been chosen to host the UK Ice Skating Championships this year.
Does anyone know when they are AND, as Torville and Dean are going to
be representing us in the Olympics does that mean they have to start
to compete in amateur events (i.e. like this one in Basingstoke) ?!

I think they said the event would be held in December. I don't know
about Torville & Dean.

Well, the British Ice Dancing Championships are on this week at
Basingstoke Ice Rink. According to local TV news reports Torville and
Dean, Joanne Conway, etc, will be competing. It's all being recorded
and highlights will be on Grandstand this Saturday.
