Well, The Thames doesn't come much close to Basingstoke than
Caversham!!
The people you want are Thames Rivercruise, Pipers Island, Bridge St,

If you want close to Basingstoke then why not the John Pinkerton (plug
Plug). This operates on the Basingstoke Canal, currently plying from
Odiham. It accomodates up to 50 people, I think for �150 on a Friday
evening. I have a brochure at home if you are interested.
