617.0. "Declining Cateen Service.." by UBOHUB::PAYNE_R () Fri Mar 05 1993 14:02

Has anybody noticed a decline in service from our Cresent Canteen,
Since these new people took over ?. I have, I've filled in the comments
book, But the service goes from bad to V. bad. And as far as i'm aware,
no-one has ever actually attempted to fix any of the problems. Who owns
them ?, who do you actually complain too ?. I'm getting really sick of
going up there and finding "We've run out" !!!!

Case: Last week, End Feb/Early March, they ran out of Serviettes,
we got replacments, Paper hand towels, from where ??
To-day, No take out boxes, "Use a tray, and plate.."
To-morrow, we'll all get a message about lack of tray's and plates owing
    to loses.
And Sandwiches.... YUK !!, or non-exsistant..

I'm livid. I have no option but to use this canteen, sometimes
after 1:15pm. I would expect though to find something on the menu, or a
box to place my food in.

Don't get me wrong. The staff are a lot more friendly, and helpful,
it's just the actual Service, Quality, and supplies that wind me up.

        Explanations anyone ????

I only ever use the canteen for coffee and the occasional sandwich.
I have noticed the messages in the comments book seem to show a severe
lack of satisfaction, however the ones about the variety of sandwiches
seem to have hit home in as much as they are offering more variety
since the start of this week, and there is a response from the catering
    manager in the book.
