Does anybody out there share my addiction to steam engines (road, stationary, and rail) especially in model form, and their construction? Anybody out there a member of Basingstoke Model Engineering Society? Don't clutter up this file with replies, please mail me directly. Better still introduce yourself to "our" notes conference: SILK::ENG_IN_MINIATURE KP7 should add it to your main directory..... if I recall the syntax correctly!

Well, if there's nobody out there that wants to talk to me, I gyuess that I'll talk to myself.... ;-) Does anybody have any information about the Basingstoke Model Engineering Society? like the 'phone number of the secretary. I think that they meet at the Viables Craft Centre, but there my knowledge runs out...... Any information welcome........ | |||||

Indeed they do, and may do elsewhere as well; but steaming days are (if memory's Ok) the first Sunday of the month Mar/Apr to Oct inclusive, as well as the annual craft fayre at Easter. The Basingstoke Gazette or Library may have the Sec's phone number. Good Luck... Rob. |
