I've cross posted this from the UK_DIGITAL notes conference.

I expect everyone's aware that since the fire at the Merchantile Credit
building in Basingstoke a number of their staff have been
offered, and accepted the third floor of Hampshire House (BST).

This necessitated all the Digital staff from the 3rd floor to seek
alternative accomodation within the remainder of the building at very
    short notice.

I'm OK (Jack ;-) ) but I understand that a number of people have had to
squeeze into places a little less spacious than what they were used to
which, I understand, will be the case until the move to the Cresent.

Now I've read the company line on what a great bunch of people we are
in Digital to react so quickly, especially after our own experience
with fire, and how this will win over Merchantile Credit for future
business etc, and the good PR we should get, but what do you guys who
now have to put up with the move think about it?

Should the management have considered the disruption to Digital staff
    first? (maybe they did).

What support did the people from the Cresent fire get outside Digital,
the mail I received mentioned ICL being particularly helpful.

What happens if there is another fire at a Digital customer site in
Basingstoke, have we set a precedence that maybe we can't meet.

Please don't repeat the company line, I'm interested in how the people
who are affected feel, and of course anyone else who has an opinion.

    look forward to the replies

    Nick
