| The last time I investigated the possibility of getting from
Basingstoke to Gatwick by bus/coach (last November), I was told
that it was possible but that you had to go via Heathrow first
which entails leaving about 10 hours before your flight is due
to leave!!!!!
Haven't checked since November, but I wouldn't imagine there has
been much improvement!

| I did Gatwick to Basingstoke in around 2.0 hours earlier this month, by
catching the BR Gatwick Express to Victoria, taxi to Waterloo (only
#2.00), and then fast train to Blazingsmoke. If I hadn't had so much
luggage, I'd have caught the tube between Victoria and Waterloo.

| One other option might be to get a train from Basingstoke to Reading,
then a train from Reading to Gatwick. Don't know how much it would
cost, or how long it would take, though.

| I would vouch for the Reading-Gatwick rial service in that people I
know that have joined it a Farnborough (North Camp) have been delivered
to Gatwick concourse faster than youcan drive there. Dont know how much
it cost tho'.
