   At the Haymarket theatre, Basingstoke,
    from Monday 22nd to Saturday 27th October 1990

                Basingstoke Amateur Operatic Society present :

        - Why (or who) is Orpheus fiddling ?
        - What in Heaven is happening on Mount Olympus ?
        - What's going on (or coming off) in Hades ?

        Come along and find out for yourself !

   "... but I thought Orpheus was a classical operetta ?"  WRONG !!!
   Fun ? Yep !  Different ?? You bet !!  High-brow ??? No chance :-)

   A change is definitely as good as a rest so "Try it - you'll like it !" :-)

   Evenings : 7.30 pm

   Tickets are 5.00, 5.50, & 6.00 Mon-Thu
           and 5.50, 6.00, & 6.50 Fri & Sat

   Specials :

     Mon             - two tickets for the price of one
     Tue, Wed, Thu   - 50p off for children & OAPs and parties of 10 and over

    Don't tell me, they have exotioc french dancers, pirouetting to the

    Half right ... the galop ("can-can") is certainly exotic [ and
    exhausting ] but don't expect to see French dancers - this is Hades
    you know, not Paris (and it's a lot more fun :-) - so I bet you
    can't can't imagine this one ... ! 
    
    [ If you you want an evening of off-beat enjoyment, trot down to the
    Haymarket and buy your tickets now ! The first night audience enjoyed
    it and so did we !! ]
