I've always thought Marble Arch a fairly dubious opener that neither attacks or
defends. You are obviously a central line zone 1 fiend.
So in repost :
BOSTON MANOR
(advantage me??)

| Oh for Goodness sake Larry if you go and fart about away along the Piccadilly
Line this game could go on for days. I bet your one of these people who take
two hours to move a pawn in chess.
Ok, if you think you can control the game by getting a hold on Heathrow
(Don't think I don't know what you're up to!), then try this for size.

But that doesn't take into account Larry Wiltshire tactics. I hadn't

Just because in the Em Seas series of '85 a good tactic was to annexe the
piccadily line it doesn't always work and grouping around heathrow allows for
a degree of safety.
But if thats the way you want to play it :

After seeing Vauxhall and Victoria in following notes I'm beginning to suspect
some illegal/unofficial allegiances here. Firstly I'd like to put a stop to it,
but in the spirit of competition I'm prepared to take you both on

| Right Mr AlfordJ,
Trying to monopolise main line stations (victoria and waterloo etc) is in no way
going to give you an advantage. However, I think you're trying to blind us
with this, to what you are really up to.....
Anybody who has studied Hughie Heavup's playing policies will know what you are
up to and what your next move is ...
So:
DRAYTON PARK
Now what are you gonna' do!!

350.21 | I'm not too sure about that one. | DRILL::dougie | Obviously a major malfunction | Fri Sep 14 1990 16:36 | 15 |
| Well Larry, I'm a bit suspicious about that one. I couldn't find
Drayton Park so I phoned up British Rail Underground (071 928 5100) and
the man had never heard of it.
Eventually he found it, - ON A BRITISH RAIL LINE! Its on the bloody
Waterloo and City Line RUN BY BRITISH RAIL. (you look at the key).
Which, as most of you know, forfeits Larry's move, giving me a complete
advantage. Once we eliminate Drayton Park, I can backtrack throught the
escalotr link to MONUMENT FOR BANK.
But hang on - it doesn't stop there. I play my advantage for someone
else's cheating (you know the rules Larry, London Underground lines
ONLY!). By changing at Embankment I get, you guessed it ....

Just before you start congratulating yourself about getting there dougie,
consider the fact that its is actually on the underground map and although
an incorrect station it does not allow you to impose the penalty clause. To back
this up consider Em-Seas 86/87 championship semi finals of whittington against
dickens when he to made a similar mistake but no penalty could be taken.
So, its not over yet....

Are you sure? The last time I went on the Waterloo & City line (known
as The Drain to regular commuters) there were only two stops:
1) Waterloo
2) City (Bank actually)
