The original Mid Hants Railway, from Alton to Winchester, opened 125 years ago 
this year. To celebrate this event, the present Mid Hants Railway is staging 
the 'Mid-Hants 125' festival on Saturday 30th June and Sunday 1st July.

Among the many features and events are;

	At Alresford - Building the line exhibits with P.W. equipment.

		     - Coaches featuring military and service exhibits
		       from both World Wars.

		     - S15 and T9 locos on static display.

		     - The Pullman 'Watercress Belle' train open for
		       inspection.

	At Ropley    - Vintage Fair with vehicles, side shows, fun fair.

		     - 125 years of farming vehicles exhibition.

		     - Watercress William and friends holding children's
		       picnics and games.

		     - Guess the weight of coal and water in 'Bodmins'
		       tender competition.

	At Medstead  - Up to 30 vintage busses on display in the new Bus 
		       Museum.

		     - Membership and recruitment exhibition.

		     - Sat. only - busses to Four Marks Gala.

	At Alton     - Engineers train with steam crane working.

Refreshments will be available at most locations and on all trains. An 
intensive four trains service will be operating at frequent intervals from 
around 9:00 in the morning until 7:00 at night.

Free park and ride facilities are available at Alresford and Alton. No car 
parking will be available at any of the stations.

Admission prices are;	Adult - �5.00
		  	Child - �3.00
			Family (2 adults and upto 4 children) �14.00

Includes unlimited travel on the Mid Hants railway.
