The Mid Hants Railway (Watercress Line) will be running over the May Day
Bank Holiday Weekend, with frequent steam hauled services over the 10 miles
between Alresford and Alton.
All trains carry a licenced buffet, and refreshements are also available at
Alresford. Their is also a picnic area adjacent to the up platform at Ropley.
There are railway shops at Alresford and Alton stations. Round Trip tickets
give unlimited travel for the whole day, and Family Round Trip tickets are
also available.
It is hoped that the S160 WD 2-8-0, FRANKLIN D ROOSEVELT, which has been
undergoing restoration at Ropley, will be in service.
Train services are;
Saturday
2 train service - Hourly
First Train - Alresford 11.08, Alton 11.20
Last round trip - Alresford 15.08, Alton 15.20
Sunday
2 train service - Hourly
First Train - Alresford 11.03, Alton 11.17
Last round trip - Alresford 17.03, Alton 17.17
Monday
3 train service - Hourly, then every 40 minutes
First Train - Alresford 11.04, Alton 11.15
Last round trip - Alresford 17.00, Alton 16.50
If you are not able to visit during the Bank Holiday Weekend, trains run
every weekend at the times shown above.

| Hi, thanks for the reminder!
Can you give me some info on the "Thomas & friends" day in June
(is it Sunday 10th?).... whats going on.....will the engines be
the right colour? (this is important to a 4 year old! :-) )

Thomas the Tank Engine and friends will be the feature of the weekend
of 9th and 10th of June. I am planning to post a note about it
towards the end of the month.
Not too sure about engine colours, although we do have two blue
ones, which I presume will make an appearance.

Round Trip Fares are;
Adult - �4.65
Child - �3.00
Senior Citizen - �3.50
Family (2 adults and upto 4 children) - �12.95
These tickets are valid all day and give unlimited travel on all
trains. Break of journey is allowed at any station.
