I have a neighbour who is fully qualified self employed plumber.

Mail me with what you need and I'll see if/when he can fit you in.

We always use Bounty Plumbing in Cranbourne.

First time was for a burst water main which they put a new bit of pipe
in, then the joints on the pipe went a few months later and they fixed
it the second time for free (which I believe they should have done).
However, the garden did get a lot of attention, it was dug up twice:-)

Second time they put some new taps on our bath as they were leaking
into the kitchen ceiling. The problem has reoccurred (not sure whether
it was a one off of our tenant swimming in the bath though :-) My wife
waited in from 9 till 1, they turned up at 12:30 after a few irate
phone calls, and couldn't find anything wrong, but did reaffix the sink
to the wall and reseal it for nothing to make up for not turning up on
    time.

Summary: Not sure about the quality of work but the quality of service
    is excellent.

I strongly recommend C & S Plumbing and Heating. Ian and Steve, the
two guys involved, are professional, tidy and very reasonable in price.

On this recommendation I called DIPCO and the resulting service was
excellent and very reasonably priced.

Can anyone recommend any reasonably priced qualified local heating
engineers/plumbers that could install a full central heating system.

    Thanks

re: .7

Hi Royston,

As per my reply in .6, I'd recommend calling DIPCO for plumbing stuff, but
another one to try would be Steve Sullivan, 01256-478920. He came to our
house today to look at our heating system (suspected leak). Checked it out,
bled all the radiators, gave us a radiator key, sorted out the pressure in
the heating system (apparently that needed doing) and only wanted a fiver.

I don't know if either of those would do C/H installations, but I'd guess
they'd be good people to talk to and may be able to give you recommendations.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Royston,

We are currently having a bathroom replaced etc., and the people who are doing
it are Overton Bathroom Centre (except they do heating/plumbing etc as well -
they are moving radiators and thngs for us too.) They have a shop/showroom on
the High St. in Overton and you can call them on 01256 770374

I always use Ian Cummings (not sure what company name he uses now) - he
used to be in partnership with Steve Sullivan - 01256 466767.
