| Mr Barton 0252 617230.
I found him very helpful and reasonable. He replaced my central
heating/water timer and move a power switch further up my kitchen
wall for 25 pounds.

| I'm not sure what hours he works but he came to us during the day.
Yes he covers Basingstoke (I live a Lychpit).

| As this note is a little old, can anyone still recommend a half reasonable
electrian in the Big "B" ?
So far I've tried to employ a chap who never returns phone calls and
doesn't come round on the day he says and a mad bloke that phones up
before I get up and wants to start work very early in the morning (just
for fun he usually arrives an hour earlier then agreed, then leaves
wondering why I wasn't up/in).
All I actually want is an outside light fitting.
Thanks for any suggestions,
Chris

| Well, the guy at abbey electrics seemed nice when he came
round to do a quote, but then again it was for a complete
rewire of the house which might make it a bit more worthwhile
for them to be customer oriented.
BTW outside lights aren't incredibly difficult to fit -
my dad and I did mine and I think I could have done it on
my own, except maybe drilling through the wall to put the
cables in for the switch might've been a little bit too much
like hard work, especially since I only have a little
hand drill :-)

I'll do it, if you like.
Mind you, I'm not qualified and I'd cost a few quid in travel
expenses.
How about asking at Homebase ? Look one up in the YP ?
