34.1 | Record shop? | SHAPES::STREETR | Well,Well! 2 holes in the ground | Fri Oct 21 1988 18:23 | 9 |
| Didn't want to start a new topic for this, but its not about
record fairs!.
I thought I read in some conference that there is a second-hand
record shop in B'stoke called "Timebeat Records"....Church Sq?
Can someone confirm/point me in the right direction please?
Ta, Ray.

Yep Time Beat Records is in Church Square which is by St Michael's
Church. Do you know where Franko's Italian Restaurant is? Do you
know where Marks & Spencer's is?
If so its behind M&S - there is a road that runs along there, as
you drive along that road, hang a right and keep going and TB is
on your right hand side.
Sorry about lousy directions but not sure of name of road, it might
be Mortimer Lane but don't quote me - I walk pass it every day so
one never takes any notice!?!?!?

Is that in the white building next door to that little memorial
garden ?
Just curious as to what has changed since I left :-)

Thanks for the directions.

34.5 | Recommended | LARVAE::BARKER | Do not fold, spindle or mutilate | Fri Nov 25 1988 15:27 | 16 |
| After reading this note I went to have a butchers and was very
impressed. They have an enormous stock of 2nd hand records in very good
condition & most cost about 3-4. They seem to have plenty of 12" & picture
disks as well. They also sell T-shirts, badges & other merchandise upstairs
although I didn't actually venture there.
I had a choice of three copies of 'Back Into The Future' by Man. I
bought the one for 4 which I thought was good for a double album, the other
copies appeared to be identical in condition but were 8.
If you are *really*, *really* into the Steve Miller Band I saw about
eight copies of 'Book of Dreams'.
Highly recommended.
