| Ask in our post-room - I don't think he has stamps, but he will
(for the relevant fee) put your post through the hi-tech franking
machine....

Fairfields Road. From the Crescent, go up to the Crest Roundabout,
head towards town - over the next roundabout. At the Lamb Pub turn
left into Fairfields Road and it is on the right.

| From the Crescent turn left at the GOLDEN LION R'bout then take
the 2nd turning at the next R'about (VIABLES). This is the HATCH WARREN
ROAD. Next take the first right, "SULLIVAN ROAD", and follow that to the
end. The shopping center/car park is on the left, with the post office
located in the news agents.

24.5 | another close one... | LOOKIN::DLLOYD | Harry Cross for PM | Thu Sep 01 1988 16:48 | 10 |
| Even nearer than that....
go to the Golden Lion roundabout, go straight over (Cranbourne
Lane ?), take the first exit left (Sheppard Road), then about
the third turn right (signposted "Telephone>"). About 100 yds
down there there is a group of shops, the right hand one of
which is a sweetshop/papershop/sub post office.

24.7 | Yes, the mail room does sell stamps ... | SHAPES::PERKINSN | | Tue Sep 06 1988 19:10 | 9 |
| But he only has second class stamps.....
(The above statement is based on a sample of two visits which I
admit is not very representative).
I tried the Brighton Hill one - quite good, free parking and a small
queue.

| Re .8,especially when its a penny more as well,perhaps the whole
strike was pre-arranged,knowing full well that there would be extra
funds coming in immediately it ends.
