| | From the Yellow Pages:

    King's Chinese Restaurant - Odiham (025671) 2559

I don't suppose that a place the size of Odiham runs to more than
one Chinese so I guess that this is it.

I've never been there but have heard good reports of

    Hee's - B/stoke 460297 23 Westminster Ho. Town Centre B/stoke

Anyone care to give a review on the above restaurants ?

    Re. King's

Took a mob on a S&SC trip and it was excellent especially
    considering the numbers (40+).

We opted for a set menu at $12.50 ph which was an excellent
choice - I actually have a copy of their menu - if anyone
wants a copy give me a shout!

As for Hee's that too is very good - but more expensive than
    King's.

One warning - the bar drinks at King's are horrendously
expensive $1.20 for a coke etc.

| | Hee's is definitely a place to take some-one you want to impress
    - as long as you have AMEX/Diners with you!! Worth every penny
    - very classy. Only the English musak spoils it.

| | I can certanly recomend HEEs - it is really good, if a little pricey.

There is a similar place in Winchester (not too far down the A34),
but its name escapes me right now.

| 4.10 | Chinese in Tadley. | GROYNE::HAYES | Ian Hayes, DTN 781 ext 4327 | Wed Aug 17 1988 18:07 | 7 |
| | I can recommend the Chinese take-away in Tadley on Franklin Avenue,
just down the road a way from the Holmwood Health Centre.

The food is excellent and the menu has a separate section for veggies
with a choice of 6 or 7 meals.

| | There's a very nice Chinky in Farnham (That's SURREY), for those
clever navigators ! I think it's on "Dogflud Way" (sic) in farnham,
and caters for groups of up to 50

    P.S.
I've just moved from Staines to Basingstoke, and I can't find anything
to do in the evenings, either!!!

| | I definately give my vote to HEES. As it is a little pricey, hubby
and I tend to go there for Birthdays etc. The staff are wonderful
and the food is out of this world. (It is not Chinese food though,
    it's Cantonese).

| 4.14 | King's Chinese Restaurant Odiham - a review | LARVAE::BARKER | Do not fold, spindle or mutilate | Fri Apr 28 1989 07:24 | 11 |
| | Went to King's Chinese Restaurant in Odiham last night and I have to say that I
was a bit disappointed. The food was only average Peking/Szechuan, helpings not
very generous and it cost >45 for three of us without drinks.
I am also put off by any restaurant that slaps on 12% service charge and then
helpfully leaves my Barclaycard voucher total blank inviting me to leave a
further tip.
I don't think that I shall bother to return there.

| | Re. 4.7 the place in Winchester may be called "Mr. So". I have
eaten there a couple of times. Quite expensive, takes AMEX and
the food is wonderful. Always full, so book before you go.
