The Hartford Application Center for Technology (ACT) supports the Digital sales 
force by providing a conference center, demonstration center, and a staff of 
applications and technology consultants.  The ACT provides support in key 
applications and technologies to all customers within the local geography and 
to insurance industry customers nationwide.

Job Description:

The network consultant is responsible for supporting sales of network solutions 
to the insurance industry, nationwide, and to all accounts within the local 
geography.  Major responsibilities are:
         
         Prepare and deliver presentations to customer executives on Digital 
         networking strategies, solutions, and products.
         
         Help account teams discover and evaluate customer needs. Work with 
         account teams and customers to qualify Digital and third party 
         products and services as solutions.
         
         Plan and develop the ACTs showcase of networking solutions by 
         coordinating involvement of ACT, corporate marketing groups, and third 
         party organizations.  
         
         Use the showcase to present networking solutions to customer specific 
         needs.
         
         Use credibility to convince customers to purchase Digital services for 
         implementing solutions.
         
         Participate in the development of corporate marketing plans by 
         providing feedback on customer acceptance of Digitals current 
         solutions offerings and by recommending improvements.
         
Experience:

Total of 15 years of experience related to selling and installing 
communications and networking solutions.  Background should include working in 
the MIS organization supplying networking solutions, or working in sales or 
sales support for a vendor supplying networking solutions.  

Knowledge of Digital networking strategy and products is required, as are 
strong presentation, communication and problem solving skills.  

Experience in the insurance industry a plus.
