68.0. "Or is it Cincinatti?" by WARDER::FULTON () Fri Feb 10 1989 12:21

Talking to the manager of GRE's DP section on wednesday, we discovered
that GRE USA is looking at rationalisation of its DP functions,
with particular reference to Office systems. currently they have
"a motley collection" (his words) of 4300s, Wang, and others.

Anybody out there in Cincinnati interested? (mail me @ OLO, or
    DTN 851-2248)

I thought GRE America is headquartered in NYC, with subs in Princeton
    and Cinn.

Yes, Bob, I believe that's so. certainly GRE America Corp's HQ is
in NYC. I assume Albany Insurance is not too far from there, too.
I don't know where Atlas, Globe American, Mid-American, MidWestern,
Tower, or Royal Exchange of America, are based. It was the DP manager
of their worldwide operations that said Cincinnati (I checked the
spelling!) was where the US Computer Rationalisation was being carried
out, so I guess they have some major installation there. I'll post
any further information I get in this note.

Albany and Atlas are merged (Albany-Atlas). They have a "data center"
in Princeton, mostly Wang stuff and IBM PC's. Commercial rating
was being done thru a major carrier in the Northeast (name escapes
me now) which developed a service company. I talked to them in
a prior life and the management seemed progressive. However, I
was told UK management issued an all-IBM directive. That was 3-4
    years ago.

One of the subs has a data center in Cinn. so I guess that is where
all DP decisions will be made.

I'd be curious to see what they're up to now.
