                  DIGITAL INSURANCE INDUSTRY ADVISORY BOARD



As another way to understand the Insurance marketplace and improve Digitals 
positioning, Insurance Industry Marketing has organized a Board of 
distinguished advisors from the Insurance Industry. This board is an ongoing 
vehicle designed to provide candid and effective advice and council on such 
subjects as fundamental positioning, the perceptions of Digital in the 
marketplace, demand for specific products and areas of opportunity.

The first meeting of the board was held on June 6-7 in the Virgina Road 
Digital Board Room. Win Hindle was host for the first day, and Bob Hughes for 
the second.

Board members at this meeting included:

The reaction of board members to the process was uniformly positive, and was 
typified by the comment "..you really want to hear what we have to say!". It 
appears that similar advisory sessions held by other manufacturers were 
viewed as more sales events than true advisory events. They were right, we 
did want to hear what they had to say, and very much appreciated the time 
that they took to share their thoughts with us. 

The agenda for the meeting is attached to give you a general appreciation of 
the topics discussed. Because of the enthusiasm and unanticipated interest of 
the members in specific topics, there were deviations from the planned 
agenda, and one presentation (that of Cathy Stockwell) was never given. Our 
willingness to change the agenda "on the fly" to meet the interests of the 
board members created a very positive reaction.  

During the meeting many important issues were reviewed, and advice and 
suggestions received. As you can understand, the issues discussed were 
sensitive and it is not appropriate to record them in a public forum such as 
this notes file. We will incorporate the advice they provided in our 
marketing and product plans over time and follow through on other suggestions 
they made.
