26.0. "Blue Cross - Blue Shield" by POBOX::MCDEVITT (Everybody out to the field!) Tue May 03 1988 19:23

This note is for discussion of all topics which relate to our doing
business with Blue Cross - Blue Shield plans or with the Blue Cross
    Association.

There are 74 Blues plans across the US. We are currently working
with several of them, and hope to have installations in many of them
by the end of FY89. We are also developing a very strong relationship
with the Association, and hope to leverage our relationship there
in such a way as to maximize our exposure to the plans.

Please use this note to ask questions about, give information about,
request references for, and discuss selling to, the Blues plans
of the US. We simply ask that you not duplicate material to be found
elsewhere in this conference or discuss other items best included
in other notes in this conference (yes, this means you should read
and become familiar with the rest of the "Insurance" conference.)

See Note 23.1 for info on GMIS medical coding system for claims.
Looks like a good fit for the Blues....

    Re: .1

According to the GMIS people I know, they already have several of
the blues as their clients for both PC and Mainframe versions of
their coding system. I will research this with GMIS next week at
a conference at which they usually exhibit.
