Try contacting Arlene Able (DTN 351-2322), she is the DEC rep on
the DWA (Dyer Wells Associates) account. I believe that they offer
the kind of system that you are loppking for.

The only current vendor I know of is TSH (alias The Software House)
in Atlanta, GA. Their system is focused on traditional life, so
I don't know if they are what you are looking for. Contact:
Bill Leroy
The Software House
PO Box 52661
Atlanta, GA 30355

I have dealt personally with this gentleman, and have found him
to have some refreshing views about application development for
insurance. He is willing to do some customization, and is currently
expanding his system to include Universal Life.
Hope this helps.....

Is anyone trying to sign on CAPSCO as a CMP. They have one of the
best products on the market. Current version runs on 4300's, Prime
and Burroughs mini's (1900's). Seems as though they'd jump at the
chance to add VAX to their line.

Betty,
Looking through my notes, I found a company in Florida called USSI
that sells a system written in RPG. It currently runs on System
36's and 38's. With an RPG conversion service, you might convince
them its worth it to convert over.
Not having actually seen their software or talked to them, 1)I don't
know if you can get them interested or not, 2) I'm not sure even
if they are that they have the right solution, and 3) this may not
be consistent with the types of programs the Insurance Marketing folks
feel will fit their vision.
On an editorial note, many of these smaller companies, especially
those who write for this level of IBM computer, have come up with
some interesting and different approaches, and may feel "boxed in"
by IBM as the mid-tier of their product line changes. It may be
and excellent opportunity for Digital to take advantage of the existing
market environtment to get some new innovative products under our
belts.
