98.0. "Is TDL developing?" by FUTURS::SAXBY (Is it friday yet?) Mon Jan 10 1994 11:07

    Laurie, (I guess you're still the person to ask)

    What's the status of TDL? Is Keith developing it further or is what
    we've got what there is?

    I'd be interested in a 'repeat event' ability. Eg I pay the Inland
    Revenue once a month on a set date and I'd like to be reminded every
    month to do so.

    Any chance that such a feature could be introduced?

    Cheers for now

    Mark

    From Keith:

    The current version is X.126, actually one privileged person has
    X.126a, but what the hell. That version fixes the first bug in the list
    below. I hope to have another version out soon, which will probably
    include all the items marked with an asterisk below (but then again it
    might not). The items marked "o" below are possibles for the future.
    I'd welcome any further requests, bugs, comments, job offers, etc, to
    the following addresses:

    [email protected]@internet	[from ALL-IN-1]
    vbormc::"[email protected]"	[from VMS/UNIX mail]

    The wishlist, then:

    * Bug: can't postpone items to 30th or 31st of January (true for months
      that start on Friday or Saturday, which frankly should be made illegal.
      If the 1st was always a Monday, life would be much easier, and my
      birthday would always be on a Saturday).
    * Ability to associate an existing file with an item
    * Floating (non-dated) items
    * Ability to print to a file
    * "Snooze" button for alarms
    * File|Open should default to TDL data directory
    * Repeating events
    o Basic shcheduling

    Finally, comments solicited: is online Help needed?

    GREAT!

    Thanks for the information.

    PS I've not needed on-line help, but I guess any 'serious' shareware
    SHOULD have it.
