This one's been buggin' me (and eluding me) for weeks!
While in a planning screen today (PP12 - Ship Plan Pass with Up/Down),
I encountered a problem which has occurred on several occasions, both
in lab and in my own experience. This time I finally documented what
happened!
1) - I completed the criteria fields as follows:
Part Id: DEBNAM
Pass Date: JUL-1987
Mo/Qtr: F
Level: TD
(all other fields blank)
Got the message: "A query was executed which....etc" indicating
there is no such part or no data against the part anywhere.
2) Because I'd never gotten into query mode (this was the first
inquiry), I typed in a new part id (KA85 AA). I left all of
the other fields filled in as is, returned through to the last
field, and the cursor slipped down to just below the GEO field.
I was unable to make another inquiry thereafter until GOLD Qing
out and reentering the screen.
I repeated the same two steps a couple of times with the same results.
I then tried to clear the fields using the FIND key (once I'd gotten
the error message) and couldn't do that either (even after getting
out/back in the screen and repeating above steps).
My understanding was that if I'd never been in query mode, it was ok
to simply type in the new part id and not have to clear out and retype
the remaining fields........or at the very least be able to clear out
the fields following that error message to be able to reinquire without
leaving the screen.
Help!

Julie,
Because we now support recall of query criteria, you have to react
differently when the 'A query was executed...' message is displayed.
You must press the FIND key again - this clears the screen and puts
the screen back in query mode. Then you may re-enter your criteria
or use the recall function to reload it.
