163.0. "OD12" by ISLNDS::RADICIONI (Life's a Mountain not a Beach) Thu Feb 02 1989 10:30

       I've compared the Dec-10 system to the Vax system for off-the
    dock shipments.

       The Dec-10 system: The Vax system: OD12

       Part number    : LA75-CA              "___LA75CA  (_ space)
       Explosion level: FV                   TD
       Part type      : OP
       Source type    : SR
       Sink data      : GD
       Loc            : USA                  USA
       Start date     : Q2                   Q2 F89
       End date       : Q2                   Q2 F89

       Results : 10,890 ships No record found

    What am I doing wrong?

    Does this part number exist on the VAX system?

163.1Part number format is __la75_caCINEMX::COPUSER78Tom MalomoThu Feb 02 1989 15:164
    Al, the problem is in the way you entered the part number - it should
    be __la75_ca where the "_" character represents a space.

    Tom, thanks for the help, that was the problem but now the results
    are:

    10 system usa 10,890 and the vax usa 12,307.

    Can you check this for me?

    Thanks

163.3Can't duplicate your 10,890 but I have the answerCINEMX::COPUSER78Tom MalomoFri Feb 03 1989 15:3558
    Al, here are 2 things to consider:
                                                               0
    1. I ran OTD on the DEC-10 but could not duplicate your quantity
       of 10,890 ships.

    2. The explosion level (TD) you used on the VAX was incorrect. Since
       you used FV on the DEC-10, the correct corresponding level on
       the VAX is FA. (TD corresponds to CH on the DEC-10).

    I pulled Q2 OTD shipments from both systems for LA75 CA, using FV
    on the DEC-10 and FA on the VAX and got the same quantity of 12,306
    from both systems. The parameters I used and results I got are listed
    below. Note that on the DEC-10, 2 passes are necessary, one pass using
    SO for system orders and one pass using IO for independent option orders.
