I ran the Nov pass of the SPP by month for my supergroup, for the following dates: Oct-1988 thru Jun-1989. When the report came back, the October numbers showed as zero's. That report was done by month, so I figured I would try it again by using quarters, and the same thing happened, when I added the number in Nov and Dec together, it equalled the total in the Q2 space. It is critical that we see the ship plan by quarter, so this arrangement is unacceptable. Is anyone else having this problem?????

132.1 | The quarterly screen has a flaw - we will fix it | SHOTIM::COPUSER78 | Tom Malomo | Thu Dec 08 1988 09:39 | 16 |
Linda, here are 2 things you need to know: 1. When you request Ship Plan by month, the first monthly bucket that will have a quantity is the month of the Ship Plan pass itself. I.E. for the November pass, the first non-zero quantity will be for the month of November, even if you use a starting execution date of October or earlier. This is not a flaw in the system, it is the way the system is intended to work. 2. If you want the total for the quarter (in this case Oct, Nov, Dec), you must request data by quarter. However, another user (see note 118) already reported that the quarterly screen is omitting October data also. This is a bug and the COPIS development team has been notified and they are working to correct this problem. If you have any questions please feel free to call me - Tom Malomo 269-2411. |
