55.0. "Unusual error message encountered" by CINEMX::WLODYKA (LAUREL WLODYKA DTN 269-2279) Thu Oct 13 1988 10:08

                   {  Bugcheck dump file message ?? }

    Yesterday I was using the PP10 screen (Ship Plan by 2-5-2 part number
    with SO/IO split) on my VT100. After I had completed performing
    various 2-5-2 inquiries, I tried numerous times to exit the PP10
    screen by pressing <CTL> + <Q>. Each time I did this, "Working..."
    was displayed on the screen, then the cursor eventually returned
    to the Part ID field instead of bringing me to the menu.

    At some point (after numerous tries), I returned to my terminal
    to find the following message displayed on my terminal:
        "%RDMS-I-BUGCHKDMP, generating bugcheck dump file
    $1$DUA50:[COPTEST.WLODYKA]RDSBUGCHK.DM1"

    Finally had to break out of the session.

    Anyone have any ideas what caused this??

55.1Try using GOLD QSHOTIM::COPDEV61Karen Underkofler DTN 269-2286Thu Oct 13 1988 13:2910
    You might try using GOLD Q instead of CTL Q. GOLD Q should
    return you to the COPIS menu.

    Some of the users have reported problems when moving back and
    forth between the DEC-10 and the VAX. In some cases, you
    may need to reset your terminal.

    If you continue to have problems, please let us know.

55.2I meant to say <GOLD> not <CTL>CINEMX::WLODYKALAUREL WLODYKA DTN 269-2279Thu Oct 13 1988 14:287
    Oops! Did I say <CTRL>?? I meant the <GOLD> key (otherwise know
    as PF1 on a VT100).

    In terms of moving between DEC-10 and VAX, I only have a F/MIC account
    on the VAX, so this should not have affected me.
