HELP..IM IN THE SHIPMENT SCREEN AND TRYING TO FIND OUT SHIPMENTS ON THE
8800'S. I WANT TO USE THE WILDCARDING IN THE PART ID FIELD SO I
GOLD '. INSTEAD OF PROMPTING "ENTER QUERY EXPRESSION" IT PROMPTS
"FIND STRING: THEM IT PROMPTS "REPLACE STRING: AT THE FIND STRING
PROMPT I TYPED - CONTAINS '8800' AND IT NEVER PUT AN ASTERISK IN
THE PART ID FIELD. MY QUESTION IS AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG WHEN
I ASKED FOR A PART THAT DOESN'T HAVE 2-5-2 FOR A PART NUMBER?

What type of terminal do you have? You may want to try
GOLD . instead of GOLD '. If you have a VT200 series terminal,
you may press FIND a second time.
If none of these suggestions work, you may be having a problem with
your terminal setup. Let us know by replying to this message.
If your "Enter Query Expression" response is invalid, the message
Query by example caused no records to be retrieved - reenter
You will get something (zeroes if no records are found) if the
aggregate name is valid.

GOLD , WORKED GREAT THANK YOU KAREN. I HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION.
IM A LITTLE CONFUSED ABOUT THE PART ID FIELD. WHEN A PART DOSEN'T
HAVE A 2-5-2 ID FOR EXAMPLE - 8800 AND MVAX. WHAT WOULD BE THE
CORRECT WAY TO ENTER THE PART ID FOR THOSE PARTS?

Debbie, When you are using a non 2-5-2 part then use an aggregation screen. I believe all 2-5-2 screens have an associated aggregation screen. Harry 269-2280 | |||||
