34.0. "Node to Node copy problems" by CINEMX::RICHARDS (DAN RICHARDS DTN 282-1411) Mon Oct 03 1988 12:11

    Hi,
I just tried to send a report to my proxy account. The transfer
said it was successful, however, when I edit the file on my proxy
account, only 2 of 113 pages was transfered. The following were
    the steps I took:

Created a shipplan that showed 113 pages.

    Hit the DO key.

    Typed "write report aug_shipplan.dat"

    Went into the UTL menu.

    Selected node to node transfer.

Sent the file to my proxy.

    Logged out.

Edited the file on my end.

Only got page 1 of 113, and 1/2 of page 2 of 113.

    Any suggestions?

    Dan Richards

	 Dan,

I don't know what to tell you. The menu does a simple VMS
COPY. This could have picked up noise along the way. I
successfully copied the file (490 blocks) twice over the
network; although, as you probably already know, I had a
	 problem mailing it to you.

You could pull the data over from your node, (use FTSV and
	 CINEMX"RICHARDS password"::xxxxxxx).

We will be utilizing FTSV, and possibly sending files at
low peak periods to minimize errors, when we implement the
	 new menu.

If anyone else is having similar problems, please tell me
	 about them.

After I tried it again, I got the file OK!. I've since tried it
    without any additional problems.
