Hello
I'm reporting a problem that occurs to a TOEM who is developing
a proprietary board with the rtVAX300 daughter board.
They need to boot and run the application directly from EPROM.
The system boots and the application works fine only and only
if the system image doesn't contain the EZ driver.
If the system image is configured with the EZ driver
the system boots and crashes immediately giving this report on
the console:
**** Fatal Bugcheck, VAXELN V4.3 MACHINECHK, machine check while
in kernel mode
Current Job = 000200FE
Program Name= EZDRIVER

Kernel/Interrupt Stack

They are using vaxeln 4.3
The note 482 of vaxeln conference reports a similar bug
giving also the solution: update the version of vaxeln to 4.4
Is that true also for this bug?

Does the problem has to deal with shareable images containing non
shareable data and the system running out from PROMS ?

Seeing as this seems to be a VAXELN related problem and not specific to the
KAV30, you may get a better response to your query by sending mail to
HELIX::REALTIME.

Mail to HELIX::ELN and HELIX::REALTIME should go to the same people. I believe
HELIX::REALTIME is the preferred account these days for accessing the resources
of RCS.

| Hi folks,
When I first sent email to HELIX::REALTIME concerning customer problems
I used to receive a reply mail stating that someone was looking at the
mail, and a response would be on its way.
Recently, with emails sent to the HELIX::REALTIME mailstop no replies
seem to be sent....Is it something I've said ???
