A customer of ours (Penn State) wants to know if they can change the battery on the KAV30 from a NicCad to a Lithium battery. Thanks, Sumithra

105.1 | Battery is Lithium... | GOBANG::LEMMER | Mon Oct 11 1993 12:11 | 15
Hmmm, strange question: The battery is Lithium, not NiCad (there was a NiCad replaceable battery on the protos, but this changed when we moved to the production version). The current battery can not be exchanged to anything, it is soldered to the board - the customer would loose warranty and serviceability of the module. In addition, the charge circuitry is specific for this type of battery, anything different would generate problems with HW as well as diagnostics. Thomas
