Hi, I'm looking for field experience using KAV30 with other VME intelligent board in a crate without forced ventilation. KAV30 itself is working well except some strange booting phases that have to be repeated. The configuration is the following: KAV30 as bus arbiter in slot 1 booted but not working. Motorola board working and doing VME access. The application is influenced depending on cooling or not of the crate and I can reproduced this. If somebody have notes on similar situation, please let me known. for EIC guides: there are solutions as heat-sink on RT300 chips to avoid forced ventilation? thanks in advance for any help. 77.1 | Requred airflow is 100 lfm | GOBANG::LEMMER | Thu Feb 18 1993 19:44 | 7 | |
The spec states that the KAV30 needs an airflow (forced cooling) of at least 100 lfm. Running without ventilation may damage the board. It looks like your board already is damaged... Thomas |
