74.0. "EPROM manufacturer?" by ZYDECO::MCABEE (Dancing about architecture) Thu Feb 04 1993 22:12

I have a customer who wants to PROM his application. He wants to read the
diagnostics into his EPROM and then burn in the application. His prom
software asks for the manufacturer and part number of the eprom being read
and he doesn't have the information. Can someone supply the information?

Thanks.

    Hi Bob,

    The EPROM parts on the KAV30 are 27C1024s. I'm not sure of the
    manufacturer of the production EPROMS (I think prototypes used EPROMS
    manufactured by AMD). The manufacturer's name (or symbol) and part
    number can usually be found on the EPROM itself.

Thanks, Graham. They had found that part number but their prom software was
not recognizing it. One of the contacts now says he thinks they've gotten
past the problem.

74.3EPROMS are usually from SGSGOBANG::LEMMERThu Feb 18 1993 19:386

	The EPROMs used by the manufacturer of the KAV30 are ususally from
	SGS Thomson, this may be different on spare parts...
