49.0. "VMEbus RESET signal and J3?" by ZYDECO::MILLER (Don Miller) Tue Mar 17 1992 23:53

I have a customer who is trying to make his KAV-30 drive the VMEbus
RESET signal as per p. 2-4 of the documentation. He has installed
jumper J3 as the documentation suggests, but is not seeing the signal.
His board is "probably one of the first KAV-30's shipped". He couldn't
locate an etch number, but found labels as follows:

        XX296.4
        L00029/245

His board appears to have a J9 jumper in addition to the documented
jumpers located directly below J8. J9 is three pins with a jumper
connecting the middle pin to one of the adjacent pins. Any
    suggestions?

                                            dm.

49.1VMEbus RESET is J7HERR::CROSBIEWed Mar 18 1992 10:4011
    Hi Don,

The correct jumper for VMEbus reset is J7, it was J3 on the
field-test prototypes, the labelling and positioning of the jumpers
were changed on the production modules. Every KAV30 is shipped with a
set of hardware release notes these describe the correct jumper
labelling and positioning. The latest version of the " KAV30 Hardware
Installation and User Information Manual" also contains correct jumper
    information.
