44.0. "KAV30 board benchmark specs" by KETJE::DEROECK () Wed Jan 29 1992 09:43

By reading the notefile, I have found already a lot of request for
    performance specification for the KAV30.
Comparing with information available on the market for SBC's in
general, we miss indeed critical information. People like to do board
    benchmarking.
May I request to place as soon as possible the information in this
    notes file ?

    To define the specs the market is looking for, I include the following list;

    	-execution times of	add operations
    				substract
    				multiply
    				devide
    				square
    				sine
    				cosine
    				exponent
    				assignment
    				load from vector
    				load from array
    				compare	branch
    				multiplay-add
    				add-compare-branch
    				boolean
    				do-loop

-execution times of system load operation

    				initiate mailbox
    				set event flag
    				read event flag
    				initiate I/O
    				context switch
    				memory allocation
    				I/O CPU-CPU (if MP)
    				create process

-initialisation time from power to ready to run state.

    	-MTBF

    	-MTTR

Note 7 contains a performance summary, the complete report is
part of the V1.1 release notes. Since people want to see this
information in this conference, I will extract it for you and
put it as a reply to note 7. The paper will also be available
	in postscript format at
