2 questions.... 1) Can anyone tell me what the 'B1' 'B2' 'B3' and 'B7' columns refer to in table output by the KAV30 ROM utility that displays SCSI device info ($20080050)? 2) Has anyone heard of a Rodime RS300 SCSI disk? Does it look like any of ours (i.e. is it supported by one of our drivers)? Pointers to suitable conference(s) greatly appreciated. Mike

We are only supporting SCSI disk that are supported by VAXELN. The reason for this is that we are NOT providing any new class drivers with the KAV30. If you want to test that disk go ahaed, it might work, but no guaratees. If you would like to have more information about SCSI disk for the KAV30 please send mail to the product manager Erwin (EICMFG::) Kettner. The columns B1,B2,B3 and B7 are for diagnostic puposes only. The will, for example, tell you if the SCSI chip on the KAV30 identifies a connected drive as removable or not. We are not documenting these columns, if you think you will require more information about B1 and friends send me mail. Julian. |
