The Matra Datavision Automotive demo is ready! I have finished documenting the demo which walks a person through the various departments of a factory. At each stop certain modules of EUCLID-IS are used and explained. I can provide you with hard-copy of the installation/script/button pushes and a TK50 with a backup or we can make arrangements to copy the backup from my system. This demo runs on VMS/VWS only. You DO NOT need to have EUCLID-IS installed to run this demo. Send requests to COSIRA::BOUDREAU or CURIE::BOUDREAU or call DTN 297-5443.

By the way, this demo takes up 38,641 blocks of disk space. The backup uses 43,407 blocks of disk space. If you intend to copy the backup, you will need 82,048 blocks plus breathing room to do the backup. I would suggest going the documentation and TK50 route. Less chance of corrupted data, nodes lost during transmission, etc. And you would be able to do the backup whenever you felt like it. I have five sets ready, so the first five could go out as early as Monday morning! Regards, Carol

13.3 | Tried to make the demo faster... | SALEM::SSAFFER | Thu Oct 26 1989 13:54 | 10
I received the demo -- looks great! I need a 'dog & pony show' available for people who stop by to see what Euclid can do. In the instructions with the demo, it tells how to eliminate some of the stops so that the demo will run faster without interuption. I tried to make the modifications, but it doesn't look like anything happened. Has anyone else tried this? Did it work for you? Thanks, Sally. |
