9.0. "EUCLID & ANSYS data needed." by RTOEU::MCHEQUER (Ruled by a 6inch dictator) Thu May 11 1989 03:03

    My name is Mark Chequer, I work in Munich, West Germany. There is a
    fair here during the month of June (6-9) called the Computer Aided
    Technologies (CAT messe), surprisingly enough Digital & I will be
    there (pre staging is next week).

    We are putting on a show that displays Digital's ability to become a
    pivot point for many 'partners products' using EDCS as the hub. We
    are taking one product and trying to show it through the various
    stages of Development. To this end we are using the DEC Workstation
    as the role model.

    Why am I putting all this here ????

    I need Euclid and if possible ANSYS data on some modules from the
    Workstation (mouse/keyboard/monitor/Main box) anything really. So
    long as it is recognisable. Can anyone help ?

    					Mark

PS : this will be using V2.1 of Euclid.

9.1 What exactly you are looking for:CURIE::RAMGIRITue May 16 1989 16:3015
    Hi Mark,

    	I am sorry, but I didn't quite understand your question.
    When you said - 9.0: Euclid, and if Ansys data on some modules !!
    what exactly you are looking for ?.

    	You also said you want to show the complete CAE process,
    and when you are doing that why you need data from other
    modules.

    	Could you please rephrase the question !!!

9.2RTOEU::MCHEQUERbusy kind of guyTue May 23 1989 13:1712
    Sorry about not getting back so soon, but have been rather busy with
    the pre-staging.

    I need Ansys results and euclid geometry on one of DEC's
    workstations  (cage/  a  mouse/ a keyboard/ a monitor/... anything).
    Sorry if my terminology is not correct, but unfortunately I'm
    working with products that have not used before.

    Thanks for your time.

9.3V 2.1 Workloads in MunichBYENG0::RHUBERTRichard, ESG Sys. Eng., EuropeFri May 26 1989 04:3011
    Hi Mark,

    Come on over and see us. We are ESG-SEE in DECpark (Munich) and we have
    a long list of automated Euclid V2.1 workloads that we developed with
    the MDTV Quatilty Control group. One of them, in fact, is the 3D Mouse
    design. Some of our workloads put out ln03 plots and preprocessor files
    for analysis applications (moldflow, ansys, nastran...)

    Regards,
    Richard

9.4Euclid to analysis links16646::BYERS_BIFri Jun 09 1989 20:2612
    Richard,

    	Do you have a list analysis applications you have written that
    form a link with Euclid? I'm looking for already develped links
    that take data form the Euclid data base and format it as input
    for analysis applications. Are you productizing these links for
    us or MDTV? General Dynamics has describe a need and a desire to
    reduce the cycle time between there design and analytical groups
    through these kinds of links. The buzz word is concurrent Engineering.
     What can you tell me about your charter?
