Hi out there,
as Teamlinks and DEC mailworks for Windows are marching towards my MEMO users, I have a
question.
It happened to one of our cutsomers, that sending a Wordperfect attachment from
DECMailworks (PC) caused the MEMO gateway to hang (this is reproduceable) ?
Is this a thing that will happen with any Stream-files (like Winword,LOTUS,EXCEL etc) ?
Might it be the same problem that happens when sending binary files from MEMO (described
some entries before) ?

Yes. MRMEMO does not cope well with DECBODY7 attachments that are not
DDIF.
Have you considered implementing Mailbus Conversion Manager (MCM) ?
This tool will give you automatic conversion of any document format
*before* it reaches MRMEMO. It is not cheap but IMO worth the price.
Look in TAMDNO::MSG_SOLUTIONS or send mail to Messaging Practice @ MEL

Actually .1 is slightly faulty. A more correct statement can be found in
161.4
It's still a good idea to implement MCM though. This will give
conversion of Word processing formats that MRMEMO will strip off in its
current version.
