We have an opportunity at a site that has just installed MEMO on an IBM
mainframe. Currently 5000 MEMO users, and they intend to go to 7000
users.
The opportunity we have is in a division of the organisation. This
division is planning to install 850 PCs over 3 sites. They require
several applications, one of which is electronic mail. We have proposed
ALL-IN-1 Mail (MAILworks) - MS-Windows and VMS server with Message
Router backbone. The link to MEMO could be either via MRMEMO or the
X.400 gateway (since MEMO also has X.400). The preference is for MRMEMO
because of the DDS synchronisation features.
However, with 7000 MEMO users is it realistic to use DDS synch?
Also, are there any 'reference sites'. Of the 2 sites in Australia, one
uses an old version of MEMO and MRMEMO, and the other (Alcatel) doesn't
use ALL-IN-1 or DDS Synch.
The 'reference site' should preferably use ALL-IN-1 IOS, or ALL-IN-1
Mail with DDS Synchronisation. Phoen contact only would be required.

Why not, you will start with an initial load (all memo-users will be
'added' into DDS - you can do this at the weekend) and the updates also
on weekend

Sorry, i donn't have any references, only 2 installations (testing) with
more than 8000 Subscribers (MEMO User) and ALL-IN-1 and ALL-IN-1 Mail.
