hi I have the following error message: MRMMAN> start Status of process creation is %MRMEMO-W-NOSERVER The target server is not accessible %SYSTEM-F-INVLOGIN Invalid login information at remote node My customer have change the MRMEMO password, and I think that the pb is here. In my opinion the Decnet object MRMEMO1 doesn't user the MRMEMO account. The MRMEMO account is used by the MRMMAN> START command to run the MRMEMOLOGIN.COM procedure and this procedure create the MRMEMO1 object. I think that the problem is that the server associated with the MRMEMO1 object can't be started correctly because the MRMEMO account is became unusable. Question: Where is stored the MRMEMO password ? Is it possible to change it to suit the new UAF value ? Simon

Hello Simon .0> My customer have change the MRMEMO password, and I think that the pb is .0> here. In my opinion the Decnet object MRMEMO1 doesn't user the MRMEMO .0> account. The MRMEMO account is used by the MRMMAN> START command to run .0> the MRMEMOLOGIN.COM procedure and this procedure create the MRMEMO1 .0> object. Your description is correct. .0> I think that the problem is that the server associated with the MRMEMO1 .0> object can't be started correctly because the MRMEMO account is became .0> unusable. If the password of the MRMEMO account is changed, that will definitely prevent the server from starting. .0> Question: Where is stored the MRMEMO password ? It is hardcoded in the MRMEMO manager image (MRMMAN.EXE). .0> Is it possible to change it to suit the new UAF value ? The only supported way is to reinstall MRMEMO. During the installation procedure, the password is asked for and built into MRMMAN.EXE. Storing the password in MRMMAN.EXE is not very pretty and this scheme is on the list of things that should be changed, but for now (MRMEMO V2.1) that's how it works. Anders | |||||
