****** Urgent ******* I am currently trying to install MR/MEMO at a Division of ABB in the USA. I am having trouble getting their people at the IBM Data Center in Windsor Conn. to make the necessary parameter changes on the IBM side. They already are using the MEMO/Gateway product to communicate with a customer in New York city(SE Banken???), that is using MR/MEMO. Helmut Hanelt is the contact at ABBs IBM Data Center. He said, the person that had set up the VTAM definition has left their employement. He is pushing back at me, asking me to tell him what to do. He said that a Digital person from Sweden(he could not remember a name) came over to the customer in New York city. The Digital person assisted the customer in setting up MR/MEMO and assisted ABB with the VTAM definition. I want to try to understand what they have to do on the IBM side and help them, otherwise I will have to escalate the problem within ABB. What I would be of help, would be the name of the Digital person that helped the customer in New York, or information on the VTAM parameters that need to be set up for the LU0 session on the SNA/Gateway. I have some experience with VTAM parameters, having setup SNA Gateways before. The Urgent part of the request is that ABB only does sysgens on the IBM once a month, the next one is scheduled for March 10th. Our customer cannot wait another month to get this running. I can be reached by phone at DTN 372-5239 - 8am to 5pm EST or by VMSmail RDOVAX::HALL or ALL-IN-1 mail Scott Hall @RDO or by posting a reply to this note. Thanks in advance. Regards, Scott Hall The real problem is the timing. They

Hi Scott, The name of that Swedish specialist was Bjrn Tennander (BJORN TENNANDER@SOO or STKHLM::TENNANDER) DTN 876-7042 I have forwarded your note to him, I'm not sure whether he reads this conference. On a more general note, there should be people reading this conference who are able to help, although I must confess little knowledge on VTAM parameters myself. cheers, Stefan |
