65.0. "Use of ADMD and PRMD qualifiers?" by EEMELI::MITTS (back on the chain-gang,..) Wed Jan 16 1991 14:27

A customer complains that when using MEMO and MRX she still,
with version 2.1, cannot use 'ADMD' and 'PRMD' to specify X400
addresses. Instead they must always be truncated to 2 (AD and PR)
	letters.

Were you not going to change this on V2.1?? Or have we overlooked
	something?

    Hi Hkan,

I just tested this and you're right. In fact the only tags that work
are ADMIN_DOMAIN and PRIVATE_DOMAIN, or unique abbreviations thereof
(all the way down to A and P).

The documentation (MRMEMO Operator's Manual Appendix C) says that you
could use ADMIN_DOMAIN, ADMDNAME, or AMDNAME and PRIVATE_DOMAIN,
PRMDNAME, or PMDNAME interchangeably, but that's incorrect.

The numeric tags (2 and 3) should work.

For clarity this only affects servers with DDS validation or address
    translation enabled

Do you think you could talk friendly to your customer about this?

    	cheers,

To clarify, There are some indications in the actual code that the
intended functionality is what made the documentation. So it's a matter
of taste really whether you regard it as a software or documentation
    bug. No SPR is necessary.
