    Hey !

One of our customers is asking a simple question.
In the free form you give the address as 'Given name + Surname'.
Is it possible to write the given name and Surname in the opposite
    direction 'Surname Given name' ?

As my experience with MRMEMO and DDS is still very modest,
could somebody help with this one !

    Thank's in advance
    		Jan-Erik

In general, freeform is always 'Given name + Surname'. If, for example,
you create a DDS record and specify /SURNAME and /GIVENNAME, FREEFORM
will be set to 'Given name + Surname'.

There is no way to make MRMEMO interpret a freeform name as 'Surname
    Givenname'.

Isn't 'Givenname Surname' the standard (X.400) way of specifying a name?
I think it could cause a lot of confusion if MRMEMO allowed the names
    to be swapped.

Is there a certain problem that the customer perceives could be solved
    this way?

    	Hey !

Actually the problem arises from, that in the customer's MEMO
system the users are listed in alphabetical order by surname.
The customer would like to use the DDSync for copying the user
directories between DDS and the MEMO systems to prevent unnecessary
work. So this is more a question of how DDSync does the copying of
the user name directories. If DDSync changes the order of listing
during the copy, then this will satisfy our customer.

Maybe I should direct the question to somebody knowing the DDSync
software. By the way is there any notes conference on DDSync and
who is the best contact person ?

    	Cheers
