The next revision of Digital Standard 073-0 will include specs and 
guidelines
for custom packaging for CD-ROMs. The 073-0 Committee needs your 
input.

                CUSTOM CD-ROM PACKAGING

CUSTOM  CD-ROM PACKAGING IN DIGITAL STANDARD 073-0

                The 073-0 committee plans to expand the standard to 
		include:

                * A description of the current options for CD-ROM 
		  packaging (jewel cases, vinyl sleeves, etc.)

                * Manufacturing specifications (trim size, paper, etc.) for

                  - CD-ROM label with custom art
                  - CD-ROM backliner and spine
                  - CD-ROM booklet with custom art on the cover
                           
CALL FOR REQUIREMENTS FOR CD-ROM PACKAGING

                Your questions, concerns, and experience with CD-ROM
                packaging are valuable. We are interested in:

                * Any items in addition to the booklet, label, and
                  backliner/spine that might be used for CD-ROM offerings
                * Tools that you use or want to use
                * Third party issues
   
RESPOND TO      WMOIS::REV_BOARD (Diana Taheri)
                or
                TNPUBS::PHALEN

PRINTSPEC       The O73-0 committee will address requirements for printspec
                so that it can accommodate custom CD-ROM packaging and
                documentation.

EDMS            The 073-0 committee will also address electronic submission
                so that custom CD-ROM packaging can be stored in the SSB's
                library and made available to Digital manufacturing worldwide.
