32.0. "SES Holiday Greeting Card" by MSBCS::NEUMAN () Thu Dec 21 1995 16:08

The employees of Shared Engineering Services extend our best
wishes for the 1995 holiday with a colorful, animated
         greeting card.

1995 was a turnaround year for Digital, and an exciting year
for SES. We look forward to another year of serving the
information needs of Digital's business units.

To install the SES Holiday Greeting Card on your personal
         computer:

           From the File Manager:

           1. Connect a network drive to \\DEMON\PCPUBLIC\SES_CARD.

           2. Double click on SETUP and follow the installation
              instructions.

           Or from OpenVMS:

           1. Copy the files in DEMON::PC$PUBLIC:[SES_CARD] to your
              PC's hard drive.

           2. Double click on SETUP and follow the installation
              instructions.

The greeting card requires a 256-color display and performs
best on a 486 or better processor.

         Regards,

         Paul Neuman
         Manager, Shared Engineering Services

Wow, that is really slick! Thanks!

How was it created? (Just curious.)

Also, is there sound with it? I didn't hear any, but I'm not convinced that
my sound card is working correctly. If the greeting card has no sound, then
at least I'll know I didn't miss anything. :-)

There is no audio. We did consider holiday music, but audio
consumes space and the card barely squeezes onto a diskette.

Here are the tools we used:

3D graphics and animation: 3D Studio, Animator Pro, Photoshop

           Typography: CorelDraw

           Programming: Visual Basic
