| Turning your Interleaf book into a single PostScript file isn't just
convenient for distributing drafts, it's a requirement for EDMS
submission. If you can't make one single PostScript file, you can't
submit your book! When you see the operation making multiple .PS
files, you must fix the problem.
The first step in solving the problem is to print out each of the .PS
files separately. When you see where they split, you'll know which
files to look at first.
Here are some things known to cause Interleaf to create multiple files:
* At least one file has a header page
You must check the print property sheet of each and every file
(not the catalogs). In the open document, find the Print menu
and select Print -> Props. In the property sheet, click on
Header Page No
There is no way to tell which file, or how many files, have header
pages. You must check them all.
* At least one file is printing duplex (or simplex)
All the files in the book must be set to print either duplex
(double-sided), which I recommend, or simplex (single-sided).
You must check the print property sheet of each and every file
(not the catalogs). In the open document, find the Print menu
and select Print -> Props. In the property sheet, click on
Double Sided Yes (recommended)
* At least one file has a different page size
The new Interleaf 7x9 catalogs are set to true 7x9 page sizes,
which are required for EDMS submission. this has caused some
confusion. Every file in your book must have the same defined page
size. In the open document, find the Page menu and select
Page -> Props. In the property sheet, find the Page Width and Page
Height fields and set them accordingly.
