Problem:

When trying to create a postscript file from a printerleaf file (of a 
complete book), Interleaf crashed.  I made a new printerleaf file of the 
same book and repeated the procedure. Interleaf crashed.  I made a
printerleaf file of a different book and repeated the procedure. Interleaf
worked fine and I succeeded in getting a postscript file. Conclusion:  The
postscript filter is not broken. 


Solution:

Open the book and create printerleaf files of individual documents. Try to 
create a postscript file from those printerleaf files. When you find the 
troublesome document, recreate the document.  The problem does not go away 
if you merely copy the document.

My front cover document had gotten corrupted somehow (it had worked 
properly before).  Therefore, I had to create a new front cover.  I copied 
a front cover from a book that I knew was correct, created a printerleaf 
file and then a postscript file. That worked, so I created a printerleaf 
file of the entire book and then a postscript file from that.  Success.
