Notes on the Spell Checker The spell checker on Interleaf will skip over any word that contains a numeral at the beginning or end of a word. Typos or run-together words with numbers attached will be ignored. If the number is embedded in the word, the spell checker usually flags the letters after the number and marks it as an error.

There is one circumstance when spell finds no error (even if errors exist) in Interleaf. This occurs when you start spell with the cursor positioned just in front of the DEC logo when the element in the component bar is "LOGO". If the cursor is positioned after the logo and spell run it finds errors. (The element "LOGO" is used in the signoff template in the comm cab.) I have not found this problem with any other logo yet.
