Question:
How do we (NaC Pubs) do autoreferencing in structured docs. Do we
do page number references? What commands do I use to make an autoreference?
Autoreferencing is discussed in great detail in the Interleaf Reference
Documentation Set. Short notes to keep in mind:
1. Autoreferences can only be accomplished through the use of an
autonumber stream.
2. If you are referencing something other than a Figure, Example, or
Table, you must create a blank autonumber stream. I believe the
documentation also tells you how to do this.

Question:
I created a blank auto stream ok. Then I went to the reference location
and pasted.
I selected Properties for the created blank autoref and inserted a tag
name. Then I went to the reference location, did CREATE-> REF ->
AUTO#. Edited the Properties for this reference and put the same tag
name in there. The page number now says see Page 1-1 where it should
say 2-1.
Answer:
You did everything correctly. You must go into the page properties of
every chapter and change the page prefix from 1- to 2-, 3-, 4-, etc.
That is not automatically changed by the catalog. Alas, we cannot
automate everything.
Using Tag Names is the method we recommend when using the autoreference
feature.
